Dr. Alok Sharma is a world renowned Neurosurgeon, Neuroscientist and Professor who brings with him extensive surgical expertise & experience in the areas of Neurosurgery, Neuroscience and Stem cells. He obtained his MBBS, M.S. and M.Ch. from the Seth G.S. Medical College & KEM Hospital of Mumbai University. Subsequently, he did fellowships in two departments that were pioneers of neural transplantation.
In 1995, he worked at the Karolinska hospital in Stockholm Sweden where neural transplantation was done for the first time ever in the world. In 1998, he worked at the University of Colorado health sciences center in Denver, USA where the world's first randomized trial for cell transplantation was done for Parkinson's disease.
Dr. Alok Sharma has authored 14 books, contributed chapters to several textbooks, produced educational Neurosurgical films and has over 100 scientific publications to his credit. He has made over 200 scientific presentations at International, National and Zonal conferences and meetings and has organized and arranged over 25 National and International Conferences /Workshops in various specialized aspects of Neurosurgery.
