Disclaimer: At NeuroGen BSI, autologous bone marrow tissue, after minimal manipulation, is grafted by medical practioners as part of routine procedure within the hospital in the same surgical sitting. According to the directives of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare issued under section 33P of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act,1940 this procedure does not involve use of stem cells/ stem cell derived product.
Maintains accurate and complete medical records of all patients on paper and in electronic format. Is responsible for the overall management of the Medical Records Department including prior and current patients.
Key Job Responsibilities:
1. Collects, assembles, checks and files and charts as required.
2. Ensures that records are in proper order, completed, signed, and indexed.
3. Manages and ensures the viability of the medical records system.
4. Answers inquiries regarding information recorded in the medical record while ensuring that patient rights are always protected.
5. Establishes and maintains a procedure to ensure medical records are safely maintained within the institution.
6. Ensures that incomplete records are addressed with the appropriate department or service provider for correction or completion.
7. Thins records at regular, scheduled intervals and properly stores the removed documents for retrieval.
8. Assists and participates in departmental studies and quality projects as indicated.
9. Acts as a resource for all facility departments.
10. Cooperates with interdepartmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility, to assure that services are properly maintained to meet the needs of the patients.
11. Follows work assignments and/or work schedules in completing and performing tasks; performs all assigned tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.

13. Performs other duties as directed by the facility Administrator.
Qualification and Experience:
Certificate in medical records management. Strong organizational skills. Familiarity with medical terminology. Knowledge of regulations regarding requirements for maintaining medical records with minimum of 1year experience in the relevant fields
